Drones are huge. Although there are a lot of restrictions around it, many travelers take it on the road because it produces some amazing aerial shots.
There are so many great brands out there but one that I think is absolutely amazing is Anti-Gravity A1. Released in late 2025, it attempts to make the traditional hub obsolete for a large swath of creators. Utilizing a dual-lens 360-degree capture system, the A1 records everything in every direction at once. The result is a “fly now, frame later” experience that feels less like flying a drone and more like pointing a virtual camera in a pre-recorded digital environment.
I was sent one to use and wanted to share my experience and why I love this product so much.
Two lenses = no blind spots
What made Anti gravity 360What distinguishes the two lenses? Most drones feature a single forward-pointing lens. However, the A1 features two ultra-wide-angle lenses positioned at the top and bottom of the central fuselage, each capturing a 200-degree field of view. When these images are combined, they overlap to form a smooth 360-degree sphere.
In the final exported footage, the drone is digitally removed, creating the illusion of a camera floating in the air with no visible support.
The sensors themselves are 1/1.28-inch CMOS modules. Although it’s smaller than the 1-inch sensors found in some “Pro” level photography drones, it’s huge compared to typical 360-degree action cameras. This allows for much better low-light performance and higher dynamic range, capturing detail in highlights and shadows that would normally be lost in the harsh contrast of the midday sun.
Most countries require drones weighing 250 grams or more to be registered and are subject to more stringent flight regulations. Antigravity has clearly recognized the importance of this threshold because they make the A1 weigh exactly 249 grams with its standard battery, which means it’s not considered a commercial drone so you don’t have to register it.
And the drone feels remarkably powerful. It uses a high-quality carbon fiber reinforced polymer that provides a better strength-to-weight ratio than the standard ABS plastic found in cheaper models. The folding mechanism is satisfyingly tactile, locking into place with precision that indicates long-lasting durability. When folded, the drone is about the size of a large smartphone, although it is up to three times as thick as it is.
Flying experience
Vision glasses: These devices are sleek and lightweight and feature dual 4K micro-OLED displays with a 120Hz refresh rate. Latency is almost non-existent and they have built-in head tracking. Since the drone records in 360 degrees, you are not limited to seeing what is in front of the drone. When you turn your head to the left, the glasses move to the left. If you look down you see the ground passing beneath you. This provides a sense of presence and spatial awareness that is simply impossible with a traditional fixed camera drone.
The drone uses a one-handed motion controller. You point the controller where you want to go and pull the trigger to accelerate. Tilt your wrist left toward the bank, or lift the front of the controller to climb. It’s an incredibly intuitive system that allows even beginners to fly through complex environments in a matter of minutes. For professional FPV pilots who prefer the precision of manual aerobatic flight, the A1 supports a traditional “Mode 2” controller, but the motion controls are so smooth that most users will never go back.
Here’s a video of the drone in action:
Camera performance
Marketing for Anti gravity 360 Proudly displays “8K Resolution”. In a traditional camera, 8K resolution means that each pixel is packed into a 16:9 rectangle. In 360-degree video, these pixels are spread across an entire sphere. When you “reframe” that 8K ball into a standard flat video, you’re looking at “cropping” the overall image.
Color science has been significantly improved compared to previous 360 cameras. The A1 features a “Vivid” profile for those who want strong, social media-ready colors, and a 10-bit “Log” profile for professional editors who need to match shots to other cameras in the color grading range. The stabilization, powered by Antigravity’s “FlowState” algorithms, is nothing short of a miracle. You can fly in 20 mph winds, and your shots stay steady as if the camera were mounted on a tripod.
Editing application
Antigravity Studio lets you download footage wirelessly (at speeds of up to 80MB/s) and remaster the video using your phone’s gyroscope. Simply watch the video and move your phone to “film” the scene in real time. The app also features “Auto-Frame,” an AI-powered tool that identifies subjects and automatically creates a clip that keeps them in focus. For the solo creator, this effectively provides a virtual camera crew that never misses a shot.
Battery life
Battery technology remains the bottleneck for all small drones. The A1’s standard smart flight battery provides 24 minutes of theoretical flight time. In real world conditions with moderate winds and continuous recording, expect approximately 19 or 20 minutes.
While 20 minutes seems short, the “action per minute” is much higher than a traditional drone. Since you don’t need to re-fly the track to get different angles, one 20-minute flight can produce the same amount of usable footage as three flights with the Mavic. For those who need a little more time, the ‘pro battery’ (which pushes the weight over 250g) provides an impressive flight time of up to 39 minutes, although it does compromise the drone’s agility slightly.
In terms of flight dynamics, the A1 is a “cinewhoop” aircraft. They are stable and predictable, not aggressive and restless. It has a top speed of about 36 mph, which is enough to track bikes or cars, but it won’t be able to keep up with a professional racing drone. “Turtle mode” is a life saver; If you crash and end up upside down, the drone can flip itself using its propellers, allowing you to take off again without the “walk of shame” to retrieve the aircraft.
Who is this for?

the Anti gravity 360 It is a niche product that is quickly becoming mainstream.
- Extreme athletes: For skiers, mountain bikers and surfers, the A1 is a game changer. You can set it to “ActiveTrack” and go. Since it rotates 360 degrees, it will never lose you, even if you go under the drone or take a sharp turn.
- Real estate videographers: The A1 is ideal for indoor tours. It can fly across the house, and later, you can catch a glimpse of the architecture, floors, and ceilings in one smooth shot.
- Travel vloggers: Its portability and “invisible drone” effect make it the perfect travel companion for those who want high production value footage without a full crew.
the Anti-Gravity 360 (A1) It is the most exciting drone I have tested. By removing the need for pivoting and the stress of manual framing, it allows the pilot to focus on the only thing that really matters: the story they are trying to tell.
Although the image quality isn’t quite on the level of a high-end cinema drone, and the lenses are quite sensitive, these are small prices to pay for the creative editing that the A1 offers. It bridges the gap between traditional cinematography and the immersive world of virtual reality.
If you’re a creator who’s tired of the same old “drone footage” and wants to push the boundaries of what’s possible in the air, Antigravity 360 is an essential addition to your toolkit.
