Travis Kelce has given fans more details about his wedding to Taylor Swift in the first episode of his podcast since the Madison Square Garden celebration.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end spoke out about the big event in his Spotify podcast New Heights with Jason & Travis Kelce, telling his brother, “It was a magical, magical night.”
Describing the wedding as “a night out,” Travis said, “It was insane. It’s a night we’ll never forget. Me and Taylor are so thankful for everyone that showed up, from the vows to just seeing everyone to how much fun we had throughout the entire evening and hearing that be relayed through everybody’s stories of the night. It was just so magical, man, and I wish that it could have lasted even longer than it did. It felt like it just happened in the blink of an eye.”
Travis explained why they picked MSG as their venue. “We wanted to do it somewhere where we could have a very intimate and genuine setting without a lot of distractions. We needed it to be a private feel. MSG went above and beyond to give us that. And I can’t thank everyone enough that showed up but also that helped put the show on and it was a very magical, magical night.”
It wasn’t just the venue that was unconventional. Jason revealed that a lot of wedding traditions were skipped in order to give guests “time to party.”
“The thing I really liked about this wedding in particular and the way you guys structured it was that after all that was done, there wasn’t the sit-down formal stuff. There wasn’t a bunch of speeches. It was just time to party and have fun.”
Guests of the couple, who hosted more than 1,000 people at their July 3 nuptials, were banned from having their cell phones — meaning no unauthorized photos were leaked online.
But it also brought the guests closer together and meant people could socialize without having to be on guard, Travis said.

“It makes everyone be in the moment and be present, and it was so cool seeing everyone from my childhood not only mesh with Taylor and her childhood family and friends, and people she works with, to [people] who we’ve encountered in our career and admire as people and have become good friends with now.
“It’s been so cool to see that world come together and hear person-by-person just how awesome of a time everyone had there. And that’s what we wanted it to be. We wanted it to be a beautiful ceremony, and we wanted to make sure everyone left there having some fun.”
Guests had been warned in advance not to reveal any details about the event, which reportedly included performances by Stevie Nicks and Paul McCartney and a speech by Lena Dunham, and were required to sign digital NDAs prior to attending.

(The Washington Post via Getty Images)Swift herself hasn’t yet made any official comments about the wedding or shared any official images of her dress, but her publicist did confirm that Swift and Travis both wore outfits by Christian Dior, with custom Christian Louboutin shoes and Cartier jewelry for Swift.
Travis previously called the event “the best night of my life” at an Aug. 12 Chiefs press conference. He added that he appreciated “everybody who came out and celebrated and, you know, had fun with us.”
Despite the ban on sharing details, some information about the event has leaked, including the couple’s catering choice (arcade-style eats) and theme (enchanted garden), while the couple previously confirmed that Adam Sandler officiated the wedding.
“He has been just the f***ing best person on this planet,” Travis said of “THE Adam Sandler” on his podcast.
“For him to be up for getting ordained in the state of New York and marrying me and Taylor in the very Sandman style and giving us more than we could’ve ever imagined in that moment, knowing it was the biggest night of both of our lives. It was absolutely insane.”
“I’m forever grateful for everybody that showed up,” Travis added.
Celebrity attendees included Brad Pitt, Conan O’Brien, Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco, Ed Sheeran and Cherry Seaborn, Emma Stone, Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Ethan Hawke, Camila Cabello and Dakota Johnson.
While most of the guests haven’t shared any information, Little Big Town revealed a little about what it was like being at the wedding, saying the couple seemed “madly in love.”
The Grammy-winning band members told The Tennessean that the wedding was “a joy to watch” and “unforgettable.”
BBC Radio 1 DJ Greg James has given the most information about the event, saying on his show that “It was unbelievably fun.”
Speaking of the guest list, he said, “Every 10 seconds it was a room full of the most famous people in the world. I just couldn’t believe. It was like going to Madame Tussauds but the wax was animated and you could interact with the wax and it talked back to you, it was absolutely mad.”
He also added that while there wasn’t a sit-down dinner, there was “unlimited” food along with “multiple cakes,” and guests were invited to dance on the stage while the DJ was on.
