A new study of the University of Oxford estimated the number of heat -related deaths in Zurich caused by changes in international weather patterns.

What is happening?

Data Collected By researchers at the Smith Smith College of the Foundation at Oxford University and the environment found that changing weather patterns, including maximum temperatures, caused 1700 deaths in the Swiss Canton region of Zurich between 1969 and 2018. On average, this translates into more than one heat -related death during this period.

While the heat -related deaths were recorded early in 1969, researchers found that they were increasing quickly, even with improving access to refrigeration and modern health care solutions.

Dr. Robert Smart Smith said: “More people die ever due to climate change … The best way to avoid these deaths in the future remains emissions and permanent discounts, which are delivered by quickly moving away from fossil fuels and animal agriculture,” said Dr. Robert Smart Smith. Why are heat -related deaths important?

Last June, the third year of June was registered ever since 1850. In one week, 282 sites throughout the country were broken the heat records of that month.

The global trend of the rapid warming planet increases the risk and frequency of heat-related deaths, which exposes societies in the world-especially the weak population.

Many heat -related deaths can be avoided by staying inside, staying cold with fans or air conditioning, and staying wet during maximum temperatures.

The University of Oxford’s study estimates that these heat flexibility methods have prevented about 700 life since 2004.

Although humans may be able to give in days with hot temperatures, many wildlife cannot suffer from heat stress, dehydration and increased transmission of the disease.

What can I do to help?

Dr. Stewart Smith also recommends, the most effective solution to treat heat -related deaths is a significant decrease in global temperatures, and begins to move away from dirty energy sources to Clean and renewable energy.
