Capital One Venture X Business Card Review: Is It Worth It?

I’m obsessed with a good travel rewards card. Over the years, I’ve collected a few of them — not because I like fiddling with annual fees, but because the right cards can save you a lot of money. a lot Money on flights, hotels and travel perks that you would otherwise pay out of pocket.

Not only do I have a large sum of money to cover my personal expenses, but I also have a sum of money for this business. One of my favorite business credit cards is Capital One VentureX Business Credit Card. It is Capital One’s first-tier business product. I love it because it has a great welcome offer, access to over 1,300 airport lounges, annual travel credits, and a simple double bonus on all spending (ensuring you always earn double miles for every dollar you spend).

To help you decide if this card is right for you, here’s my full review of the card and why I love it so much:

What is the Capital One Venture

the Capital One VentureX Business Credit Card It is a travel rewards card issued by Capital One. It comes with an annual fee of $395 which is much lower than other premium business cards available. I think you can easily get much more value from the annual fee costs. Here’s a quick look at the main perks:

• 2 miles per $1 on all purchases, no tier restrictions
• 5 x miles on flights booked through Capital One Travel
• 10 x miles on hotels and car rentals booked through Capital One Travel

Use your capital one mile

Capital One miles can be redeemed in several ways. The first is by booking travel directly through the Capital One portal. Although I don’t typically recommend booking through credit card portals, to take full advantage of Venture

Another option is to use your miles to get reimbursed for any travel purchase. For 90 days after you make this purchase, you can redeem yourself at a redemption rate of 1 cent per mile. After 90 days, for all other purchases, you can use the miles as cash back, at a redemption rate of 0.5 cents per mile (but avoid doing this, as it’s not a good value).

You can also use your Capital One miles in the Capital One Entertainment portal to book tickets for concerts, sporting events, and more. Occasionally, Capital One offers cardholder-only events and pre-sale opportunities as well. Although you’ll only get 0.8 cents per mile for tickets (not the best value), it’s still a fun and unique way to redeem miles.

However, you’ll get the most out of your miles by transferring them to Capital One’s 15+ airline and hotel partners. While the actual value varies based on what you book, you can usually find airline and hotel redemptions worth much more than the above-mentioned cent per mile. (The process is very straightforward and can be done through your Capital One account.)

Pros of Venture

As someone who travels frequently for work, I’m always looking for ways to earn miles faster and make life at the airport less painful. I love this card For 2x simple miles on everything. I use a lot of other cards that can give you 3 or 4x back on certain categories like advertising or out-of-gate travel expenses like flights and hotels. But when it comes to dining, museums, transportation, etc., there aren’t a lot of ways to get more than double every dollar spent on a business card. So, I use this Venture

Here’s a deep dive into some of the key perks:

$300 travel credit
Each year you receive a $300 credit toward bookings made through Capital One Business Travel (flights, hotels, or car rentals). If you’re already booking flights on a regular basis, this balance is essentially free money – and your balance will drop immediately effective Annual fees range from $395 to $95.

hunting? You must book through Capital One’s travel portal. It’s powered by Hopper, so the interface is clean and the prices are usually competitive. I found some good deals there.

Access to the lounge
You get access to Capital One and Priority Pass lounges. The Capital One lounges are really great – spacious, modern, and the food is good – although they are still limited in location. But they are expanding the number of lounges they have and I personally think it is much better than other lounges that competing banks have. You also get access to Priority Pass at over 1,300 lounges around the world, which is a common but really cool feature.

Anniversary bonus
Every year, on your account anniversary, you’ll get 10,000 bonus miles (equal to about $100 for travel). It’s a nice “thank you” that helps offset the annual fee further.

Should you get this card?

the Capital One VentureX Business Credit Card It’s best for small and medium-sized business owners who travel regularly and can put down at least $30,000 to ensure they meet the welcome offer requirements.

In general I think so Capital One Venture X Business It is one of the best value premium business cards currently available. It’s not as feature-packed or flashy as the Amex Business Platinum or Chase Sapphire Reserve, but it’s easier to use, has a less expensive annual fee, gives you lounge access, and an easy-to-understand earning structure.

It’s one of the cards I use a lot in my work. I highly recommend getting it.
