Istanbul-Türkiye obtained a historic defense export agreement with Indonesia, where contracts signed 48 Kaan combat aircraft and two ̇stif-category-category-category-category virtues in Ankara in Southeast Asia.

On July 26, 2026, Türkiye and Indonesia officially signed the commercial contract that defines technical attachments and implementation details of the government to government to government (G2G) aircraft of 48 from the fifth generation Kaan plane.

The original G2G framework agreement was signed on June 11, 2025.

The agreement includes a comprehensive cooperation in engineering, manufacturing and technology transfer. The main ingredient is to create a local space infrastructure in Indonesia, which will serve as a tangible reflection of the strategic depth of the partnership.

Delivers will be carried out from 48 aircraft over 10 years under a schedule. The contract also covers long -term industrial cooperation, engineering support, and joint technology development, with Indonesian partners including PT Republik Aero Dirgantara and PT Dirgantara Indonesia.

Haluk Görgün, head of the Turkish Defense Industry Agency, attended the signing ceremony; şfri şmsuddin, Indonesian Defense Minister; Mohamed Demiroglu, CEO of Turkish Space; Ömer cihat varnan, Turkish space chief; Air Marshal Yusuf Zuhari, head of the Defense Facilities Agency in Indonesia.

Kaan conducted its first journey on February 21, 2024, and serial production is expected to enter by 2028, with the first delivery operations to the Turkish Air Force planned for 2029.

Separately, during the IDEF 2025 defense exhibition here, officials of defense of both countries ended a deal to supply Milgem, of type ̇stif. This contract represents the first export of Milgem’s warship to Indonesia.

The first category of ̇stif, TCG ̇stanbul, in the Turkish Navy in January 2024, was assigned with the serial production of ongoing additional ships and the delivery expected to continue until late 2020.

The frigate deal is the third group of maritime cooperation between the two countries. The first is the continuous construction of two of a 30 -meter craft equipped with missiles by the TAIS consortium in Türkiye in Sefine SHIPYARD. First Steel was reduced in October 2024, and ships will include the fighting management system in Havelsan.

The second is to integrate Turkish weapons and combat systems on the Miri Boutewt in the future. These ships, based on Babcock Arrowhead 140 design, are equipped with ASELSAN RADAR and Sonar systems, ASELSAN’s combat management system, and ATMACA anti -ship missiles in Hovelsan.
