Live injury updates
Lamar Jackson’s will not play on Sunday night against the Atlanta Falcons after being ruled out with an ankle injury. The Baltimore Ravens quarterback was hurt during their Week 4 win over the Tennessee Titans. Tyler Huntley had to finish the game and will start this week.
Ravens head coach Jesse Minter had said that Jackson didn’t necessarily need to practice in order to be available. There was reportedly an “outside” chance he wouldn’t miss any time, but after not practicing this week the team decided to rule him out.
A pair of offensive weapons will be missing for the Philadelphia Eagles when they take on the Jacksonville Jaguars in London. Running back Saquon Barkley and wide receiver DeVonta Smith will both miss Week 5 as they are dealing with hamstring injuries.

Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels was a full participant in practice on Thursday and was given the green light to return against the New York Giants. Daniels suffered a dislocated elbow in Week 2, but will now sport a brace on his non-throwing arm for the rest of the season.
Other Week 5 injuries to monitor:
A grade 2 hamstring strain has kept Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams out since Week 2. He’s returned to practice on Friday and is being listed as questionable. Running back Kyle Monangai was ruled out with a turf toe injury and is week-to-week.
Ja’Marr Chase will be questionable as he remains in concussion protocol afer returning to practice on Thursday. Fellow Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins is day-to-day, according to head coach Zac Taylor, with adductor and neck injuries.
Aaron Donald (back) missed Week 4 for the Los Angeles Rams, but his presence at practice on Thursday was an encouraging sign for his availability Monday night against the Buffalo Bills. Donald was limited, but head coach Sean McVay said “the hope is yes” that the eight-time All-Pro will be on the field.
A left ankle injury kept him out last week, but Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson said he plans to play against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. Head coach Kevin O’Connell said Jefferson is questionable.

NFL injury updates live

Teddy Ricketson
The 49ers will be without defensive end Nick Bosa, who is still dealing with a calf injury. Fullback Kyle Jusczcyk will also miss Sunday’s game against the Seahawks due tot he knee injury suffered in the team’s win over the Broncos.
San Francisco will have wide receiver Mike Evans active.

Teddy Ricketson
The Chargers have a lengthy Week 5 injury report.
WR Quentin Johnston, OL Joe Alt, and CB Donte Jackson are all ruled out. Ladd McConkey is questionable.

Ian Casselberry
Houston Texans edge rusher Will Anderson Jr., linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair and defensive end Jadeveon Clowney will be available for Week 5’s matchup with the Tennessee Titans.
All three players did not have a designation on the injury report. Anderson (ankle) and Al-Shaair (groin) were full participants in practice on Friday after being limited throughout the week. Clowney (knee) did not practice, though was a full participant on Thursday.

Andy Backstrom
The Philadelphia Eagles won’t have their leading rusher and receiver, or their new center, for Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London.
Running back Saquon Barkley and wide receiver DeVonta Smith are both out with hamstring injuries, and Drew Kendall is sidelined by a knee issue.
Without Kendall, an already new-look Eagles o-line will look even more different.

Ian Casselberry
Los Angeles Chargers left tackle Rashawn Slater was placed on injured reserve Friday following ankle surgery. He was already listed as out for Week 5 on the team’s injury report.
Slater, 27, suffered a high-ankle sprain in the Chargers’ 30-23 loss to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 4. He underwent a “tightrope” procedure (stabilizing the tibia and fibula with a cord-and-button device) in hopes of accelerating his recovery, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported. But he will miss at least four games by going on IR.
The Chargers’ 2021 first-round pick (No. 13 overall), Slater missed all of last season due to a torn patellar tendon. A ruptured biceps tendon limited the two-time Pro Bowler to three games during the 2022 season.

Teddy Ricketson
Titans wide receiver Carnell Tate was listed as questionable on the team’s final injury report for Week 5 against the Texans.
Hours before, though, head coach Robert Saleh said that the rookie is “good to go” for the game.

Andy Backstrom
The Denver Broncos are placing wide receiver Pat Bryant on short-term injured reserve with the ankle injury he sustained during a Week 4 loss to the San Francisco 49ers, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
That means Bryant will miss, at minimum, four games. Prior to this setback, he was starting to come into his own in his second NFL season. The 2025 third-round pick from Illinois currently ranks second on the team with 133 receiving yards.

Teddy Ricketson
Colts veteran wide receiver Keenan Allen is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Steelers. Allen is still dealing with a groin injury that sidelined him last week, but he fully participated in practice on Friday.

Teddy Ricketson
It was reported earlier in the day that star running back Ashton Jeanty was not at Raiders pra’ practice on Friday. He was listed on the injury report as not practicing and is now considered questionable for Sunday’s game against the Patriots.

Teddy Ricketson
Caleb Williams is still working his way back from the hamstring injury he sustained in Week 2. He hasn’t been able to log a full practice since the injury occurred, but he was listed as limited on Friday.
Williams is questionable for Sunday’s game, but head coach Ben Johnson said earlier in the week that Tyson Bagent would start against Green Bay.

Teddy Ricketson
Saints wide receiver Chris Olave practiced on Friday, per ESPN’s Kat Terrell. Olave has no injury designation and will play Sunday against the Vikings.
Veteran running back Alvin Kamara is listed as questionable.

Teddy Ricketson
The Eagles are reportedly releasing veteran quarterback Andy Dalton, per NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.
Dalton had been serving as the backup to starter Jalen Hurts. Philly will now rely on Tanner McKee and Cole Payton as its backup QBs.

Teddy Ricketson
The Vikings released their final injury report of the week on Friday. Wide receivers Jordan Addison and Justin Jefferson are both listed as questionable.
Addison is working through a hamstring issue.
Jefferson has been dealing with a sprained ankle that has sidelined him the last two weeks.
Head coach Kevin O’Connell said the team will evaluate both Addison and Jefferson over the next day and decide whether to elevate the newly signed Odell Beckham Jr.

Teddy Ricketson
The Eagles will take on the Jaguars on Sunday without two of their biggest offensive weapons.
Philly has ruled out running back Saquon Barkley and wide receiver DeVonta Smith. The Eagles will have tight end Dallas Goedert and linebacker Zack Baun, though.

Sean Leahy
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson will miss Sunday night’s game against the Atlanta Falcons with an ankle sprain, head coach Jesse Minter announced.
Jackson suffered a sprained ankle during Baltimore’s 24-18 win over the Tennessee Titans last week. He did not return to the field for the second half and was spotted leaving the locker room in a walking boot.
Head coach Jesse Minter had said that Jackson didn’t necessarily need to practice in order to be available. There was reportedly an “outside” chance he wouldn’t miss any time, but after not practicing this week, the team decided to rule him out.

Teddy Ricketson
The Patriots will take on the Raiders in Week 5, but will be severely depleted in the secondary.
New England has ruled out four cornerbacks and wide receiver Mack Hollins for Sunday’s game.

Teddy Ricketson
The Bears will be without running back Kyle Monangai against the Packers. The RB was spotted in a boot on Friday and is not practicing.

Jay Busbee
In the days after the Rams collapse, the Eagles saw two significant personnel developments that made observers wonder if the punting kept going after the game was done. On Tuesday, Lane Johnson, the 14-year veteran right tackle and franchise mainstay, announced his retirement, effective immediately. Johnson’s departure means Philadelphia now has a major hole to fill on the line — not the situation you want to see when your team is already struggling offensively.
But Johnson’s announcement was only the prelude to the week’s big news: On Wednesday, the Eagles dealt guard/center Cam Jurgens to the Ravens for a pair of draft picks. When you’re already facing significant struggles on that side of the ball, it’s tough to rationalize trading a Pro Bowler for draft picks as anything other than a concession until those draft picks suit up.

The Commanders announced that Jayden Daniels will start in Week 5 against the Giants.
Wide receiver Stefon Diggs has been ruled out.

Sean Leahy
Jeanty practiced on Wednesday, but was limited on Thursday due to a foot and ankle issue.
On Friday, he was not seen as the Raiders opened practice ahead of their Week 5 matchup against the Patriots.
