Not a student? Not a problem! These back-to-school deals are for everyone, from $1

One of the best-kept secrets of bargain shopping is that back-to-school sales are actually for everyone, not just students and teachers. I’ve been covering these save-a-thons for a decade as a shopping editor, so I can tell you firsthand that they hold some pretty hard-to-beat discounts on bestselling tech, decor, storage, appliances and beyond. Walmart’s current back-to-school deals are real-time proof of it. Among all the glue sticks and safety scissors, I found a slew of universally adored items — and I singled out A+ picks below (some as much as 75% off!).

One of my favorites is this lightweight Chromebook laptop-tablet hybrid that streams video like a dream. It was $430, but it’s been reduced to just $189. And that 75%-off deal? It’s for a pair of Bluetooth earbuds that rival AirPods, according to some five-star reviewers. There’s also a set of cozy bed sheets with 15,000 perfect ratings that’s 60% off in all sizes, not just a dorm-friendly twin; in fact, the queen set is less than $23. Even the home office essentials are at rock-bottom prices; I found a rolling organizer that’s down to $16 (was $37) and a package of 10 Bic pens on sale for just $1.

Ready to raid the aisles of Walmart’s back-to-school sale? These deals are selling out by the hour, so don’t be late!

All you need is a dollar bill, and you’ll have a pen for every purse and every drawer in the house. This 10-pack of ballpoint pens by Bic is a deal we can all get behind.

My advice? Hurry and get these in your cart, because they’re selling out as we speak. (There’s a pack of assorted colors on sale, too.)

This sleek, sky blue Chromebook packs all the power of a laptop — a super fast Intel process and a ton of RAM and storage — into a lightweight package that converts into a touchscreen tablet with a twist of its 360-degree hinge.

This three-drawer storage unit on wheels might be perfect for a dorm room, but it’s also an excellent place to store craft supplies, out-of-season clothes, toiletries that are spilling out of your vanity — you name it.

And since the drawers are made of transparent (and BPA-free) plastic, out of sight doesn’t have to mean out of mind.

I first used a standing desk at an office job seven years ago, and it was a revelation. Years of sitting at a desk had already compressed the discs in my spine, which led to chronic back pain. Standing allowed me to stay in a more natural position and stretch throughout the day.

Snap up this one with built-in LED lights for more than 60% off in three colors. It’ll fit perfectly in a home office or spare bedroom.

I was not prepared for Walmart’s back-to-school deals to include such incredible deals on bedding. My eye was immediately drawn to this microfiber sheet set — it’s so popular that more than 15,000 shoppers gave it a five-star rating. And it’s reduced to just $23 in queen!

If you are shopping for a college kid, the twin and twin XL are on sale, too. Plus, the soft sheets come in almost two dozen colors, so there’s something to match every look.

Nope, you don’t have to be a student to love a stylish laptop bag like this sleek option that comes in black and pink. In fact, I love it as a traveler. It’s rugged (water-resistant and shock-proof) and TSA-friendly, too.

Whether you’re an Apple person or prefer a PC, this shoulder-strapped, ultra-cushioned bag has you covered.

Tell your reusable water bottle to move over, because there’s a new tumbler in town and it’s about to dethrone your current obsession. This insulated travel mug keeps 30 ounces of coffee or tea hot all morning as you answer emails and read the news.

When noon hits, switch to water — this mug keeps it cold for 10 hours. As a person who uses a 30-ounce travel mug instead of the wildly popular 40-ounce, I can tell you it’s a lot easier to tote around.
