(Reuters) – The US Department of Justice said on Thursday that it will abandon an case accusing Elon Musk’s Space Technology Spacex of refusing to employ some immigrants.
Last month, the Ministry of Justice indicated that it may retract the case, which was presented during the term of Democratic President Joe Biden.
Musk, Supreme Adviser to Republican President Donald Trump, is leading a committee charged with waste of waste in the federal government.
In a court on Thursday in Branezville, Texas, government lawyers asked the judge to end the procedures so that they could make a notice to cancel the case. The Ministry of Justice said it would reject the case with prejudice, which means that it cannot be presented again.
Texas -based Spacex and the Ministry of Justice did not respond immediately to suspension requests.
In August 2023, the Ministry of Justice submitted an administrative complaint claiming Spickes from 2018 to 2022 beneficiaries of refugees and refugees to apply for jobs and refused to consider them.
At that time, the administration said that SPACEX wrote in public jobs and data that it can only employ American citizens and permanent legal residents due to the export monitoring laws in the United States. The administration said that the export monitoring laws did not impose such restrictions.

The company said: “SPACEX follows strict policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all export control laws and systems, as well as preventing any illegal discrimination.”
Spacex has sued the administrative complaint, which will be heard at home by an administrative judge.
The company said that the administrative judges are incorrectly appointed by the American Public Prosecutor because they have been granted powers that must be booked only to the officials appointed by the president.
The judge has temporarily banned the Ministry of Justice from following the case while weighing the arguments from both sides.
Trump and Musk criticized the powers of federal agencies, including those such as the Ministry of Justice with enforcement procedures at home.
On his first day in his post, Trump announced illegal immigration is a national emergency. He went up the deportations and issued a widespread ban on asylum claims.
